WAN-IFRA RMTC ready for next edition of ICQC 2018-20

The Research and Material Testing Center (RMTC) in WAN-IFRA South Asia is again ready to execute the next edition of Color Quality Club competition. The only worldwide competition for newspaper color quality has now been extended to magazines as well. Therefore the International Newspaper Color Quality Club (INCQC) is renamed as International Color Quality Club (ICQC).

Why magazines?

As new and emerging business models allow the publishing management to reach new markets with high-value products, it has been decided to include magazines to fit into the existing color quality standards. We welcome and encourage more magazine publishers to involve in this competition to benchmark themselves in the market.

Based on the past records we would anticipate 130 registrations this year, and already we have crossed 115. Of course, receiving  copies, storage, evaluation, report generation and communication with clients are not an easy task, and we are prepared to it.

Reference “Cuboid” print targets have been sent out to the so far registered participants, and the Pre-Check print week schedule is also announced. We equiped the lab with black boxes with unique number of each registration pasted on it.

Also, we thank our sponsor ABB for supporting this year’s competition. Visit http://www.wan-ifra.org/microsites/color-quality-club for more details. Last date of registration is 31 December 2017.

Winners of the ICQC 2018-20 will be honoured at next year’s IFRA World Publishing Expo, 9–11 October 2018, in Berlin, Germany.
